Disobedience
There is a disobedience that runs through this school. Not the kind that leads to disorder, upset or harm - there is no nastiness here, no malice. Rather it is an irrepressible naughtiness that is encouraged simply because we recognise that to do what is expected will only deliver what is expected, and where is the learning in that? Where is the fun? To agree a destination beforehand is to render the journey meaningless. To seek something already known wastes everyone’s time, and I’m sure you will agree that life is too short for that. No, we embrace an approach to bad behaviour that disrespects no-one, upsets no-one, and really seeks nothing more disruptive and hurtful than the rejection of the irrelevant and the redundant as we pursue the meaningful and the purposeful. Our time here is precious and we will not waste it looking for what has already been found.

Disclaimer: Let’s imagine our school is a work of fan-faction for all those rebel school start-up stories. That said, not all of it is untrue.
