100Voices - a school for flourishing & survival

Our school is a school of 100Voices and our mission is to let them sing.

Everything we do is underpinned by three core principles:

  • purpose-driven learning

  • mutualism

  • communal knowledge

Mutualism

Schools are always in a community, but not always of the community. They really ought to be, don’t you think? There is so much going on out there that we need to be involved with - rich, real, pressing, problematic things that need tackling - and there is so much that we can put back in. A net gain for everyone: mutualism.

We want children to be active citizens so we must consciously create, nurture and sustain expert partnership ecosystems - across the arts, heritage, science and tech, humanities - to enable this activism to flourish. And we must design an irresistible, ethical impetus to drive powerful, place-based learning forward. A net gain for everyone: mutualism.

We want our children to see themselves as part of the community; part of many communities, in fact. And we want them to see their families in there alongside them: with them, for them and for the community. A net gain for everyone: mutualism.

Happy, healthy and safe

And above all, we must do this because our health and wellbeing depends on it. So much goodness will flow from these symbiotic interactions. We will be taller and broader because of it; ready to take it all on. We need strength to do what we need to do, and this is how we will get it. Outward facing is not enough now. We need to be outward doing.

Release the power of 100Voices. Let them sing.
