It was always Flourish & Survive.
Long before I’d written a single word.
At the time I was trying to find the words to articulate my vision for a new curriculum and flourish & survive seemed to have everything. I mean, just imagine what could be happening in the space between these two points; between survival and flourishing; from the very basics needed to just keep going through to the rich nourishment needed to thrive.
It’s now my sandbox dream place for a future school; a blog for the now and next; a space to conjure up a system truly committed to liberating learners and learning. Most of the posts are what I call ‘fan-faction’ and are inspired by all those amazing rebel school start-up narratives, but reader beware: not all of it is untrue!

Proxies for learning

We share our learning
If it’s important enough to learn then it would be wrong to keep it to ourselves
Natural - born failers
If we are natural-born failers then why do we spend so much time talking about it in school?
