I’ve been robbed, said the child.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked over.

Someone’s stolen it, they added.

I’m sure no-one has stolen anything, suggested the teacher. Why would they?

But it was here, and now it’s gone. I want it back.

Okay, what is it you think you've lost and we’ll see if we can find it, offered the teacher.

My creativity, and I want it back. Anyway, I’ve already looked and its not in here anywhere.

When did you last see it?

Can’t remember. Long time ago and now I want it back.

Another child raised their hand. I think I’ve also lost something. Possibly stolen.

What are you missing?

My voice, said the child.

My choice, said a third

Space to just breathe in and breath out, offered a forth

And a fifth said, in quite a blurt, any sense that you are interested in the things I am actually good at. I want that feeling back. It’s not yours.

Please return what’s mine to me

At 100Voices we seek to return that which has been stolen.
